Kamado Shrine History

The Kamado Shrine is dedicated to Princess Tamayori who was Jinmu enpeler's Mother.

Long ago, Mt. Homan was worshipped as a sacred peak.

During the Kamakura period (1185-1333) the Dazaifu government office survived in name only, but the town prospered.

It was the castle town (joka machi) of the SHONI FAMILY.
